AVAILABILITY
-
- All items are subject to availability and our stock
changes on a weekly basis.
Because we buy our birds from zoos / museums as they
become available, the availability of many birds is based upon the death rate at a
particular zoo or a museum purcahse.
Standard salmon fly feathers always on hand.
Blue, white, and brown ear pheasant are usually in
stock depending upon our own birds and those we buy from domestic breeders.
All foreign shipments require a $55.00 U.S.F.&W.
fee and our cities permits allow us to ship many of these feathers to foreign buyers.are

JUNGLECOCK (All grades)
Junglecock is probably one of the most used feathers
for all kinds of flies in the past 200 years. Junglecock (grey junglefowl) is a native
bird of India and is on the C.I.T.E.S. list of Endangered Birds. Our capes are all from
domestic stock which have been bred especially for fly-tying and are legal, unlike wild
birds which are brought into this country.
The 4 grades as shown differ in this quality, not the
quanity of the nails (feathers).
